Effects of Changing Dimensions

When you double the dimensions of Carlos, The scale factor is 2, but when you triple it the scale factor is 3. If the perimeter is one by one then the area is 4,if you double that it would be 8, and if you triple it it would be 12. Therefore, the area of a 1 by 1 polygon would be one, if doubled it is 4, and if tripled it is 9.

Take It From Me

Rebecca Spokes once stated, “A new day dawns, bringing forth the new year. It is the next chapter of your book. The pages are blank, yet to be written. So, embrace each day as each day is new.”Keep your computers charged and don’t be late are two pieces of advice that would be a wise choice to follow as you enter the new year.
The first piece of advice is to bring your computer charged every day. If it isn’t charged, your planner could be signed so be prepared for that consequence. One of my friends didn’t bring his computer charged and his planner was signed. Another friend of mine didn’t bring his computer back charged multiple times and he was faced with lunch detention. That was the first piece of advice that you should follow or you will be faced with consequences.
The second piece of advice you should follow is don’t be late to class. If, you are late to class you may once again be faced with consequences. One of my classmates was late to class and he didn’t have a note so he wasn’t allowed to play dodgeball that day. Instead, he had to walk the bleachers. Another one of my classmates was late to class, and he had to walk the bleachers, not be able to play dodgeball or whatever we are doing that day, and push the towels at the end of class. Obviously, those two were from P.E. That was the second piece of advice that should be followed in order to succeed in 6th grade.
Like Rebecca Spokes once quoted, “A new day dawns, bringing forth the new year. It is the next chapter of your book. The pages are blank, yet to be written. So, embrace each day as each day is new.” Those were two pieces of advice in order for success in 6th grade and grades beyond.

Texas Waters Are Under Attack

David Theordoropoulus once said, “Thirty years ago, the greatest threats to nature were chainsaws, bulldozers, and poisons. Now the greatest threats are wild plants and animals.” All that means is wild plants and animals affect more than chainsaws, bulldozers, and poisons. Creating mechanisms stopping their introduction and giving weevils growth hormones are two solutions that will help stop invasive species.
To start off, Invasive species are in about 270 of the 300 lakes in Texas. People are hold classes about the education of invasive species, but people aren’t taking them because they don’t realize what a big problem invasive species really are. So, this solution is not working.
Next, here is one solution that could stop invasive species, and that is to give weevils growth hormones. A positive side to this is that they will eat more giant salvinia. In fact, they have eaten about 8,000 tons in less than a year once before.Another reason is that up to 6,000 are reproduced each year,so that means more to give growth hormones and less of a problem giant salvinia are.
The next solution, is to create mechanisms to stop their introduction on a body of water. If we stop their introduction, it wouldn’t be such a huge problem like it is today. Once invasive species have settled in an area, they are very difficult to get rid of. In fact, they are in about 90% of Texas lakes today, but next month that may be up to 93%.Another reason is that technology has helped solve a lot of the world’s problems. That was another solution that will help stop invasive species.
In conclusion, giving weevils growth hormones and creating mechanisms stopping the introduction of invasive species are two solutions that could really impact the presence of them. Like David Theodoropoulus once said, “Thirty years ago, the greatest threats to nature were chainsaws, bulldozers, and poisons. Now the greatest threats are wild plants and animals.”

In Matters of Principle, Stand Like a Rock

In matters of style, swim with the current; In matters of principle, stand like a rock.”Thomas Jefferson once said. In “I Am Malala”, a teenager in Pakistan named Malala Yousafzai, against almost everyone else, still stood up for what she believed in, which was girls education.
She stood up for what she believed in because she was tired of people telling her what to do all the time. Here are some reasons why it is essential for people to stand up for what they believe in, so they can make their voice heard and so they don’t get ordered around all the time.

To start off, one reason why people should stand up for what they believe in is to make their voice heard. Malala made her voice heard by fulfilling live interviews on T.V. “My mother and father liked to watch my interviews.” We should all stand up for what we believe in because if we don’t, no one will ever know what you were thinking. That was one of the reasons why all people should stand up for what they believe in.

Thereafter, another reason why standing up for what you believe in is so you aren’t told what to do all the time. Malala didn’t let other people tell her what to do, so why should we? “They thought the bullets would silence us, but they failed.” She went to school even when she wasn’t supposed to be. “This secret school, she said, is our silent protest.”

In conclusion, those were some explanations why it is essential for people to stand up for what they believe in. Like Thomas Jefferson said,”In matters of style, swim with the current; In matters of principle, stand like a rock.”

Fearless

To start with, Malala made her voice heard by standing up for her ideas.

She did live interviews and made speeches on T.V. “My mother and father liked to watch my interviews.” She went to school fearlessly even when she wasn’t suppose to.“This secret school,” she said, ”is our silent protest.”

In conclusion, those were some ways that Malala made her voice heard by standing up for what she believes in.

493 Million Women are Illiterate

Education is important to Malala because, she grew up in a school so she has always been around it.

Initially, she has always been around education because, her father founded a school.“You could say I grew up in a school.”

Always go to school because, if you don’t it will affect your future. Of the 774 million people in the world that are illiterate, 493 million are women.

At this point, schooling was important to Malala because she grew up in a school so she has always been around it. Also because of the two previously stated reasons.
