Child Labor
Child Labor was a very bad thing.Children were very mistreated.Some even died or got very sick because of working in mines or factories all day every day.Some also starved because they couldn’t make enough money.Most of them got hurt on the job.Sometimes they even died from being injured.They started working when they were under 10 at least,most of them that is.Then in 1938,The Senate outlawed Child Labor by creating the Fair Labor Standards Act(FLSA).That stated that it was illegal for children under 16 years of age were not allowed to work in factories anymore.That was the only good thing that came out of this event.That’s why Child Labor was a very terrible thing.
The Legislative Branch
If I were part of the 3 Branches of Government,I would want to be part of the Legislative Branch because all they have to do is think of a law that follows the Amendments of the Constitution and pass it off to the president where he approves or vetoes the laws.If I were part of the Legislative Branch,I would like to be Representative.I would also have the power to start spending bills,bring legal action against government officials,and also approve treaties.I would not want to be part of the Executive Branch because that would be way too much power for me.I would not want to be part of the Judicial Branch Because that’s too much pressure of whether or not I want that to be a law.I would want to be in the House of Representatives because there would be a bigger chance of me getting in.I would be perfect because I’ve lived in the U.S. for over 7 years but i will need to for another 14 or more.I would really like to be a Texas Representative.

Who Made the First American Flag and Why?
I think Betsy Ross made the first American Flag because in both reader’s theaters and the video that we watched said that she made the first American Flag.Only once in one of the plays(no other resource)said that Francis Hopkinson made the first flag,but I don’t believe that because the video that we watched was from History.com and I’m pretty sure that they wouldn’t give us false information,plus the play that mentioned Francis Hopkinson was only a play put on for people in the late 1800’s for all we know that could have just been an entertaining play .Now,the other play is a different story,it was a biography of Betsy Ross’s life.Those were the reasons why my opinion on who created the first american Flag would have to be Betsy Ross
